Doel van dit artikel is een overzicht te geven van de grote psychologische stromingen. De beschrijving is hier zeer beknopt; wie er meer over wil weten wordt uitgenodigd de uitgebreidere vakliteratuur te raadplegen.

Dit artikel is als volgt opgebouwd: de diverse psychologische stromingen worden beschreven, gebaseerd op een leerboek. We volgen bij de theorieën de volgorde zoals die historisch gegroeid is, en zullen dus achtereenvolgens de psychoanalyse, de leer theoretische benadering, de cognitieve theorieën, de humanistische theorieën en de systeemtheoretische benadering bezien. Wie meer details wil lezen over de relatie tussen de psychologische theorieën en ‘geloven’ wordt verwezen naar mijn boek: ‘Het geloof nu’, uitgeverij Boekscout 2013.

The aim of this article is to give an overview of the main psychological approaches. De description is very concise, who wants to know more is invited to study the more extensive professional literature.

This article is as follows: The main psychological approaches are described based on a textbook. We follow in this the sequence like it has develloped historically, and will therefore look at psycho-analysis, the behaviourism, the cognitive theories the humanistic theories and the system theoretical  approaches.
